Toll Group opens Subic Bay office to expand Indo-Pacific Defence Logistics

Toll Group has opened a new office in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone to strengthen its Government and Defence logistics operations across the Indo-Pacific region.

The new facility will serve as a local operational base supporting defence-related logistics activities in the Philippines and surrounding markets.

Strategic location in the Luzon Economic Corridor

Located inside the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, the office provides access to:

  • International seaport infrastructure
  • Airport connectivity
  • Multimodal logistics operations across air, sea, and land

Subic Bay forms part of the Philippines’ Luzon Economic Corridor and is increasingly viewed as a strategic logistics gateway in the region.

Focus on defence and theatre logistics

Toll said the office began supporting customers in March 2026 and is already handling:

  • Air freight movements
  • Sea freight operations
  • Defence-related cargo logistics

The company said the location strengthens its ability to support allied defence forces operating in the Indo-Pacific, including:

  • United States Armed Forces
  • Japan Self-Defense Forces
  • Australian Defence Force

According to Ligert Lee, Country Manager Philippines for Toll Group’s Theatre Supply Chain division:

“Our presence in Subic Bay allows us to better support defence related activities… by combining local knowledge with Toll’s broader theatre supply chain experience.”

Expansion of regional logistics capabilities

Toll said it sees opportunities to expand operations beyond freight forwarding into:

  • End-to-end theatre logistics
  • Integrated multimodal transport solutions
  • Specialized and regulated cargo handling

The company also noted the new office is expected to contribute to local employment and workforce development in logistics and defence support services.

Outlook

The expansion reflects growing demand for resilient defence and government logistics capabilities across the Indo-Pacific amid increasing geopolitical and security activity in the region.

Toll said the new Subic Bay presence reinforces its long-term commitment to supporting government and defence customers while operating within host-nation regulatory frameworks.
